Ivan is a very experienced market economist and keynote speaker, with a somewhat rare pedigree in having also practiced his craft at Australia’s two airline groups.

He is very well known in the institutional space, and is a trusted advisor to banks, superannuation funds, small businesses, large corporations and international investment funds. His speciaility is analysing and forecasting the Australian and US economies, with a particular focus on interest rate trends. He is a sought after public speaker that makes economic content interesting, relevant and easily digestible.

Most recently, Ivan was Chief Economist, Corporate & Institutional Banking for National Australia Bank, but has also been Chief Economist for Qantas and Chief Economist (Australia) for ANZ and Deutsche Bank. Ivan has also consulted to SEEK, IATA and Virgin Australia.

Ivan holds a Bachelor of Economics with Honours from the University of Tasmania and commenced his career at the Reserve Bank of Australia.
